The day 19 December 2009. It was 42°, overcast and humid. I remember this vividly as it was my wedding day. All our planning and vision was about to come to life! Think vintage/luxe as a theme.

Like most wedding days there are things that happen beyond our control- one of ours was the weather in this case! The boys were wearing 3 piece black suits, the girls in mid length structured black gowns and I was in a long silk and lace gown. Feeling hot was an understatement!

Our saving grace that day was the suggestion our photographers made - a post ceremony shoot at the champagne lounge upstairs from Must Winebar in Highgate before heading out to our reception venue at Belvoir homestead for a few more photos.

Now Brenda and Emma from AWTP had their work cut out for them as my husband was not a fan of having photos taken - he was very specific that he didn’t want ‘stiff and rigid/staged posing’. They did such a great job making sure we were always laughing, relaxed and having fun. This really transcends to our photos. They captured our day beautifully, despite the conditions, they made it work in our favour having an air conditioned venue to cool off after the ceremony with cocktails amd perhaps a magnum of champagne and food before heading out to Belvoir for some sunset shots. It was a beyond perfect suggestion!

Emma & Brenda have become not just our wedding photographers, they are our life photographers. From engagement shoot to wedding to baby shoots, they will continue to capture our moments in life as we wouldn’t trust anyone else to do so.
