A Woman’s Touch Photography is made up of a close-knit family of six (yes, we know, there are nine squares!) Coming into work is a joy because we are doing what we love. Here’s a bio of our amazing team:
Brenda, from high school years has always loved photography. She is the pioneering spirit behind A Woman’s Touch Photography. A part of the photographic industry for over 30 years, she started out as a stringer for a well-known Sydney studio, becoming grounded in the technique of the formal photographic style. Brenda remains at the forefront of industry trends and practices, acquiring knowledge in all the emerging styles. She is a highly accomplished professional and her enviable talent is regarded with respect amongst her peers. She is the origin, the source… Where A Woman’s Touch Photography began.
Emma is Brenda’s daughter, and shares her mother’s passion for photography. She is the photojournalist of the crew. No opportunity escapes her eager eye and her photojournalistic style reveals the personalities behind the faces that we so want to see. Why is it that 60% of the images in an album are Emma’s? We know, but we are not telling Brenda. Emma has the designer’s flair creating awesome albums that become timeless classics. She has inherited her mother’s talent and honed it into something uniquely her own.
The driving force behind A Woman’s Touch Photography, Josh is Emma’s partner both at home and work. He is the driver; the worrier; the scheduler; the likeable affable organiser who is always one step ahead. He masquerades as Brenda’s and Emma’s P.A. and keeps us all marching in step and wearing silly smiles because we love his ways.
Hmmm… We don’t really know what he does. We think he is part of the team, but we just aren’t sure. Yes, all of the IT work falls on his shoulders and yes, he is the groundsman/property beautifier, the house-husband/grandfather and purveyor of banned substances (McDonalds) to his grandchild, (Photographic evidence can be supplied upon request.) But what-the-heck… it all works.
Now, Jules is easy; he is the ultimate nerd; the dark arty type who just loves trying out new things. He has brought his wit and technical expertise to the team and keeps us on the cutting edge of the photographic industry. When Julian weaves his magic through the album images they come to life in an enchanting and astonishing way.
Our office lackey (said in the nicest possible way), accounts lady and album assembler, Sue is meticulous in her work and ensures that we make a profit (or not) through her creative accounting ways. We are always proud of handing over albums to our clients as Sue adds the finishing touches that make them perfect.
Little Mr. Addi is the terrorist of the group. He has the most wicked sense of humour ever found in a little boy. The son of Josh and Emma, Addi is loved by everyone. If anything goes missing – ask Addi. You won’t get a straight answer and ultimately will have to wait for it to turn up in the fullness of time. Be sure it is in a secret stash somewhere, quite safe, just hidden.
What can we say? – A newborn and innocent face. Doing all the things a newborn does, and doing them well. A blank page just waiting to be written on by the hand of love. Taking the world in through blue eyes, being loved by all and absorbing it like a sponge. He came quietly into the world on Saturday, 14th August 2010 in a home water birth. Not a protest or a cry; joy and elation experience by all… Oh! And Brenda was there to capture every memory … to be continued.
The Dog… Spiro Doganopoulous is his full name… no really, he IS a dog. Inherited from a Greek neighbour, he has been sternly charged with the responsibility of keeping the property safe, which accounts for the lick marks left on our last lot of burglars. He keeps our lawns top dressed and is a whole lot of fun. He is the perfect companion for when you need to stretch those legs in the yard or throw a ball to relieve stress after a stint in front of a computer screen.
